The best time for anglers to visit the state of Mato Grosso do Sul is from March to October, when Pantanal’s rainy season ends and the the dry season begins. Between August and October, the Pantanal levels are lower and the fish are concentrated in the river channels. Due to the breeding season, also known as “piracema”, sportfishing is suspended during the months of November to February. However, the activity is still allowed in the Paraguay River during February.

Goiás
