At around 1:30 pm this Friday (9), an aircraft from the French brand ATR, from the company Voepass, crashed in Vinhedo, a neighboring city of Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo, and close to the Viracopos airport, where it was heading from Cascavel, in Paraná, a state in the south of Brazil. The company reported, in a note, that the flight 2283 was carrying 58 passengers and 4 crew members.

Voepass Linhas Aéreas reported that it has activated all means to support those involved. There is still no confirmation of how the accident occurred, but there are no survivors. This information was confirmed by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and the city government of Valinhos.

Social media videos of the crash showed the plane spiraling out of the sky before hitting the ground

The plane crashed in a residential condominium, but as of Friday afternoon there were no reports of victims outside the aircraft. This information was provided by the Secretary of Social Defense of Vinhedo, Osmir Aparecido Cruz, who was at the scene of the accident.

The aircraft plummeted almost four thousand meters in two minutes. The Flight Radar shows that the plane was at an altitude of 17 thousand feet at 1:20 p.m. and at 4 thousand feet at 1:22 p.m., when the GPS signal was lost by the platform.
