Paula Lima, today’s perfect symbol and icon of Samba, will fly into Pompano Beach’s Sunset to land at the LUAU Pompano Beach as the main Headliner. The event takes place on May 20th at North Ocean Boulevard, Pompano Beach, Florida from 11am to 10pm.

Paula Lima is a Brazilian Samba Star, nominated for the Latin Grammy Award, carnaval TV commentator, judge with the Brazilian version of the TV Show “Idols”, main character of Brazil’s version of the Broadway show “Cats”, and judge at Miss Brazil 2016. She brings a modern samba style to North America, infused with the energy of Bossa Nova, Jazz, R&B, and Funk.

Luau Pompano Beach is a full day of activities, fun, interaction, good food, and good music in 100,000 square feet of ocean-front land. The event is not only celebrating “100 years of Samba” but also uniting all the community regardless of origin and ethnicity. The SUNSET STAGE (beach stage) will be a musical journey into beach songs adored by many US generations. Fifty exhibitors and food vendors with unique products, services, deals, and flavors will amaze attendees regardless of nationality. A technologically advanced arcade will bring together video game aficionados and beach goers at the LED Fun Zone. The LUAU STAGE (main stage) will showcase a bikini fashion show and officially kick off summer, culminating with a concert under the stars, and under the moonlight with Brazil’s Samba Star, Paula Lima.

The LUAU Pompano Beach is an event of the Parks and Recreation Multicultural Arts Department, the Pompano Beach CRA, The Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, The Heartbeat Foundation, produced by Brazil in Concert, with set designs by Via Americas.
