Newark Liberty International Airport is one of three major airports serving the New York Metropolitan Area (the others being John F. Kennedy and La Guardia in NY) and the primary airport serving the state of New Jersey. Recent 
modernization has made this airport a preferred option of many travelers.
United Airlines, the airport’s largest tenant (operating in all three of Newark’s terminals) in recent years has introduced multiple enhancements in the airport’s Terminal C to further meet the needs of its customers.
United Airlines redesigned terminal C’s security checkpoint to include 17 state-of-the-art automated screening lanes, which enables customers to move through the screening process quicker. Terminal C at Newark Liberty is the first checkpoint in the country to exclusively feature the new lanes.

latest technology to improve the airport experience for our customers.” said Greg Hart, United’s executive vice president and chief operations officer.
In 2014, the airline opened a new Global Services reception lobby for its top frequent flyers and collaborated with OTG to unveil an elevated dining and retail experience in the terminal, with cutting edge technology, premier dining options and trend-setting design.
Last month, United Airlines debuted its all-new United Polaris Lounge, featuring daybeds, shower suites, private dining and more for customers traveling in United Polaris®, the airline’s international premium cabin travel experience. 
Among the several amenities, the lounge offers a private dining area with table service for up to 48 guests featuring a menu developed by New York Chef John Glowacki, and a bistro-like buffet that includes a do-it-yourself bagel bar plus sandwiches and wraps.
Simple Commute
Get to Manhattan from Newark (or vice-versa) is simple and faster than you can think. As soon as you exit through security look for signs to the AIRTRAIN. This is a free airport train. Take the AIRTRAIN to the Newark Li-berty Airport Station.
At the Newark Liberty Airport Train Station purchase a ticket at the NJ Transit Counter or a kiosk to New York Penn Station. The fare is US$13 one way. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes. In 30 minutes, you will 
arrive at New York Penn Station, Midtown, Manhattan.
Six NJ TRANSIT trains arrive every hour, weekdays between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the Airport Station. Between 9 p.m. and midnight, four trains arrive every hour. Service is not available nightly between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.
If you prefer to use a car, the commute from New York, Midtown, to Newark Liberty can be fastest than to JFK airport, in Queens. Average travel time to Newark during rush hour is about 53 minutes while average time to JFK is 69 minutes.
