The Gale NewsVault, a digital platform offered by the Periodicals Portal of Brazil’s Centre for Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), gathers together historical data covering the last 400 years of publications on large international print media outlets. Access is free.
The platform has amassed over ten mil-lion scanned pages of periodicals such as The Economist, Financial Times, Liberty Magazine, Listener, Picture Post, Sunday Times and Times.
The database allows for cross-referencing of data, searching for publications published on a certain date, view publications in full screen and save, bookmark and print results, among other features.
