The 35th edition of BR Day NY will be held on September 1st, Sunday before Labor Day at 6th Avenue, between 42nd and 57th Streets and Little Brazil (46th Street) from 11am to 6pm.
The producers of BR Day NY announced the lineup of the event:
Simone & Simaria
The country duo Simone and Simaria are very well known throughout Brazil. They will present some of their many hits to the public on 6th Avenue in a show that promises to thrill the attending public.
Jorge & Mateus
Representatives of what is called in Brazil “Sertanejo Universitário”, Jorge & Mateus, are considered today one of the main country duos of 
the Brazilian music.
They have been on the road since 2005 and have already participated in one edition of BR Day NY. In 2012, the performance of Jorge & Mateus on 6th Avenue was an absolute success.
Alok
The music producer and DJ, Alok, is today the most listened Brazilian in the world and best known for his worldwide hit song “Hear Me Now”, 
which is helping him to build a large audience on all continents.
His presence at the 35th edition of BR Day will certainly make history in NYC.
Glenda Kozlowski
The event will be hosted by Glenda Kozlowski, a Brazilian journalist, television sports presenter and
former body-boarder. It will be the first time the journalist will attend the Brazilian festival.
Jefferson Moraes
BR Day NY also features the special participation of singer and songwriter Jefferson Moraes, a rising star in the Brazilian country scene.
After winning a singing competition in the Brazilian TV, became one of the most listened artists on digital platforms and started performing all over Brazil with an agenda of over 
20 shows per month.
Besides the concerts, the festival also brings typical Brazilian food, products and the most important of all, the joy of the Brazilian people.
BR Day NY is co-produced by the entrepreneur João de Matos, also founder of the event and by the newspaper The Brasilians, with the support of TV Globo.
The event was created in 1984 to celebrate the Independence of Brazil. Ini-tially, the party was restricted to 46th Street, officially known as Little Brazil; but over the years it has grown so much that it was expanded to 6th Avenue. Today, BR Day NY has an audience of about 1.5 million people who gather together to see and hear the greatest hits of Brazil.
